About noblets
Terrence's first-hand Costco.com gold restock data, and the plain rules behind every number.
Who runs noblets.
noblets is run by Terrence, its founder. He tracks gold restocks on Costco.com around the clock and publishes what the data shows.
“I've published restock analyses since April 2025: when restocks happen, what a good price is, and how fast deals sell out. The numbers on this site come from the same tracking and update themselves.”
How we track.
The rules behind every number on noblets.
- What we track
- Gold bars and coins sold online on Costco.com. Not warehouse shelves: nothing here is about stock in a Costco warehouse.
- A restock
- An item going from out of stock to in stock on Costco.com. Its in-stock time runs from the check that saw it come back to the first check that saw it gone.
- False restocks
- Cancelled orders can briefly put an item back in stock. So when the same item restocks again within 6 hours of one we counted, we don't count it in the restock times. Prices and sell-out speeds count every restock.
- Premium
- The price over the spot price of gold at the moment of the restock, before any cashback.
- Sell-out speed
- For each premium band, the time by which half of its restocks had sold out. We only time a restock our checker watched from start to finish, and a band needs at least 10 restocks on 10 different days to get a figure.
- Times
- US Eastern. An hour runs to the next, so 1pm means 1:00 to 1:59.
- Updates
- The public inventory page updates every 15 minutes. Subscribers get an alert the moment an item restocks. Restock times updates once a day from noblets' own records and covers the last 90 days, compared with the 90 before.
